The Humanitarian Mission
Serve
↓
During this retreat, we partner with Sound of a Smile, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and uplifting local communities in South Africa. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful service initiatives that directly support local families and children. The mission focuses on creating positive impact through community projects, education, and cultural connection.
This portion of the journey allows guests to experience South Africa beyond tourism. Forming genuine connections with the people and communities who call this region home.
Yoga
Wild Heart South Africa is an invitation to return to what is untamed, authentic, and deeply alive within you. Each day offers intentional yoga and meditation practices designed to ground, energize, and restore, led by experienced yoga teachers, Samantha Dungca and Tyler Wheelan.
Morning sessions awaken the body, while evening practices invite deep integration and rest. Participants can expect a nourishing variety of yoga and wellness practices, including mindful movement, meditation, reflective journaling, breathwork, and intentional group activities that cultivate self-awareness, connection, and expansion.
A special full moon yoga ceremony serves as a luminous highlight of the retreat, honoring cycles of release, renewal, and surrender under the expansive African night sky.
Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, African wildlife, and the quiet wisdom of nature, participants are encouraged to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with the rhythm of the Earth. Through experiencing this together, connections deepen — to self, to others, and to purpose.
Wild Heart South Africa is more than a retreat; it is a journey of presence, service, and transformation.
A remembering of the wild heart that lives within us all.
